PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO BRAMBLEWOOD PARENT ADVISORY COUNCIL BYLAW

SECTION XII – PAC REPRESENTATION to the SCHOOL PLANNING COUNCIL (PAC-SPC Rep.)

Bill 11 has taken effect which means that the School Planning Council was removed from legislature and no longer exists in the School Act and is now at policy level.

A vote will take place on Wednesday, April 6th at 7:00pm in the school Library to remove Section XII PAC Representation to the School Planning Council (PAC-SPC Rep.) from the Bramblewood PAC Bylaws.

There is a “Framework for Enhancing Student Learning” developed by the Ministry of Education that will not be legislated but does exist at a policy level, meaning how it is implemented will vary from district to district rather than being the same province wide. The DPAC is still learning and having meetings with the District office to see how this will look in SD43.
